7th Grade AVID students visited Clemson's Science Outreach Center today. They got to learn about DNA. figure out what is killing the Eastern hemlock trees, walk the campus, and eat in a dining hall.

Big THANKS to Chief Deputy Coroner Don McCown and Public Information Officer Alyssa Whitfield of the Anderson County Coroner's Office for visiting with Mrs. McDowell's Career Exploration classes today! Mr. McCown talked with our students about the forensics (scientific investigation) that goes into the services that the Coroner's office provides to our citizens.

The Bulldogs' game last night was a true testament to our school family. Between 8th grader, Trae Brown, fighting for the extra points to clinch our win, our manager, Noah Miller, keeping our team hydrated and organized, our fans, filling up the stands and yelling loud, and our cheerleaders, for cheering and stunting to the very end in the cold and keeping that sideline LOUD...we are RIVERSIDE! It's always great to be a Bulldog, but last night was extra sweet! 🖤💛

Schedule update!

Subject: School Closure Update for Thursday and Friday, October 3 & 4
Anderson 4 Family,
We hope you are staying safe during these challenging conditions. Due to ongoing power outages and roads that remain impassable for our buses, we have made the difficult decision to cancel school on Thursday, October 3, and Friday, October 4. There will be no eLearning on these days, as more than half of our families and staff are still without power.
In addition, please note that Monday, October 7 is a scheduled holiday, and school will remain closed. Tuesday, October 8 is a professional development day for our teachers, so there will be no classes for students on that day as well.
The following schools will remain accessible from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and complimentary food will be provided from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. We encourage community members who need a secure environment and access to charging stations for their devices to visit. Please be advised that the buildings will have power, HVAC systems, and free public Wi-Fi available for use.

The safety of our students, staff, and families is our top priority, and given the current circumstances, it is not safe to hold classes. We are continuing to monitor the situation closely and will provide further updates as needed.
Thank you for your patience and understanding as we navigate these challenges together. Please continue to follow our social media and websites for information on school closures and updates.
